Workout Description

4x1:00 thrusters 75#1:00 T2B1:00 Box Jumps1:00 Rest

Why This Workout Is Medium

This workout uses a 1:1 work-to-rest ratio with built-in recovery between movements. The 75lb thrusters are light-moderate, T2B and box jumps are bodyweight skills, and only 4 rounds limits volume. While fatigue accumulates across the 16 minutes, the structured rest periods and manageable loading allow most average CrossFitters to complete as prescribed without significant scaling.

Training Focus

This workout develops the following fitness attributes:

  • Power (7/10): Box jumps are highly explosive. Thrusters require powerful hip extension. Toes-to-bar demands explosive core power. Three of three movements emphasize explosive output.
  • Stamina (6/10): Continuous one-minute efforts across three different movements challenge muscular endurance. Limited rest between movement transitions prevents full recovery, demanding sustained output.
  • Strength (6/10): 75# thrusters require moderate loading and force production. The one-minute duration prevents maximal strength testing but demands significant strength-endurance capacity.
  • Speed (6/10): One-minute intervals demand quick movement cycling and minimal transition time. Steady pacing within each minute is critical; not a sprint but requires consistent tempo.
  • Endurance (5/10): Four rounds of one-minute intervals with one-minute rest creates moderate cardiovascular demand. The work-to-rest ratio allows partial recovery, preventing sustained aerobic stress.
  • Flexibility (5/10): Thrusters and toes-to-bar require moderate shoulder and hip mobility. Box jumps demand ankle and hip flexibility, but demands are not extreme.
